Remembering your sweet Daddy today.

My friend gave me a quote on a sympathy card, it read: "The pain passes, but the beauty remains"

Not sure the pain truly passes my friend but the happy memories with your darling daddy will always remain.

Sending my love and best wishes

Great photo of you and your dad! I know you loved him very much and miss him desperately. Aren't the memories truly a gift from him, to you, forever. Wouldn't we all love to just sit and talk to them, even for just 10 minutes. Death is so damn final. But he's there in your heart, with you each day, just listen for him. Love ya!

Thanks, y'all. It's been a rough weekend in lots of ways. I'm more scared about what's coming up than grieving for my Daddy. Our family schedule is crazy on a good day - add an extended illness and it's impossible. Choosing what has to give - sucks.

So much love coming your way from Montgomery.... When you need your safety valve, don't forget it's just a short drive for her to make.

All my thoughts and prayers go out to you. Daddies are so special. The pain lessens and the memories grow more intense.

MNMom and Maven~ I thought about y'all a lot lately - and how hard it must have been to lose both your parents in such a short period of time. I'm so glad we've reconnected for this period of time - God ALWAYS sends me angels.

Maven~ My husband drove to Atlanta to a memorial service for the mom of one of our neighbors this weekend. He always makes an extra effort to do that - he says that when you and your family showed up an hour and a half from your home to his own mother's furneral made an enormous difference to him and he likes to return that favor to anyone he knows and cares about. Thought you might want to know that.
